Everything that we put on our body is rapidly adsorbed and begins its way into our bloodstream. The liver is the main internal organ doing all the heavy lifting. The liver is responsible for the breakdown of insulin and other hormones and the excretion of many waste products. It plays a key role in breaking down or modifying toxic substances.
We cannot live without a liver and if it’s overloaded with toxins, the whole body suffers. The liver has the word “live” right in the name.
Knowing all of this, would you still use just any product off the shelf? Did you know most bar soap is made in a way that extracts the main ingredient that lubricates the skin? It’s called glycerin, and it’s in every skincare product you can think of from lotions to toothpaste. Bar soap therefore becomes a byproduct. Ever wonder why some bar soaps crack and dry your skin? Well, without glycerin, they will shrivel into nothingness and will ultimately dry you out. Then, you’ll need a lotion that moisturizes your skin again. That’s where the glycerin went in the first place.

Humans have the ability to make so many things that are used in our daily lives. All we have to do is put our minds to it and we will get a great product that is nourishing to the skin and will even uplift us. This is the world we want to live in and create for everyone to enjoy. That’s why we started making soap and from there learned many things about skincare products that we could no longer accept to apply to our sacred most precious skin.
We only have one body and one liver and it’s up to us to make good choices for the longevity of our bodies. What began as a simple exercise of making soap has blossomed into a way of life.
